With the assistance of an anesthetist it is possible in our office, in a separate room, designed especially for this purpose, to perform dental treatments and dental surgery under sedation.
Our patients are examined on one occasion by our anesthetist before the treatment, and if he or she considers necessary, he or she may require laboratory tests (blood count, blood sugar test, liver and kidney function test, ions, prothrombin), ECG, and a lung X-ray screening dated not more than six months ago.
During the intervention your pulse, blood pressure and oxigen level of blood (oxigenation) is under control, and is monitored continuously by machines. If the case requires, pure oxygen is administered into the lungs through an oxygen pipe so as to compensate worse air change of more superficial breathing. After anesthesia you can have a rest of after-effects of sedation comfortably in our office, and having gone the effects of the drugs, you can go home with your companion.
